University of Cumbria

The University of Cumbria’s new Barrow campus will play a key role in improving the town’s education provision, helping to ensure the area has the skills needed to support its economic growth.

This flagship development is part of a project known as the Barrow Learning Quarter, which will create more opportunities for people in the town and surrounding areas to access further and higher education.

The campus, which is due to open its doors for the first time this year will, in time, help attract an influx of new students from out of town to come to Barrow to live, study and play.
